La Boite's production of Julius Caesar was very good.  How did they make the blood look so real?, Elaine Evans, Bellbowrie

[I do know the formula they used but it might spoil the magic if I told you - it definitely wasn't tomato sauce! Ed]

I wanted to say that I really enjoyed Sacre Bleu at the Cremorne Theatre.  It's great to see Hayden Spencer back in town. J.T., Burleigh Heads [Sacre Bleu was a Queensland Theatre Company production.  Hayden Spencer had been overseas for a couple of years performing with Cirque de Soleil. Ed]

Thanks for keeping theatre patrons up to date with what was happening in the theatres during the floods.  The Perform site was the one place we turned to find out about all the theatres.  Andy and Crew, Ashgrove

As you said in this month’s editorial, the theatre is a business and will need patronage to make up for time and money lost.  I think by attending a couple of extra shows this year I can help with the rebuilding of the economy in Brisbane.  I urge other people to do the same – it’s one way we can help.  Alysha Grant, The Gap

Thanks for letting us know about the Love You Queensland video that showed the making of the song.  It was great to see Simon Gallagher again doing what he does best – performing!  It’s a great initiative and I hope the itunes download raises a lot of money for the flood appeal.  Love You Queensland!.  Peter Bennett, South Brisbane

Thanks for keeping us up to date with what’s been happening in the local theatres as they clean up after the floods.  Instead of checking each individual site, we’ve been logging on to the Perform site to get the latest news.  Well done.  Adam and Ria, Carindale

Very sorry to hear about QPAC and QTC being flooded.  It's going to take the city and its people a long time to recover, but no doubt the performing arts community will have a role to play in lifting spirits after the clean up.  Marissa and Eric Beedle, Hamilton

Thanks again people at Perform Magazine for keeping us up to date with what's happening in the Brisbane performing arts scene.  I've been a reader since your magazine began way back - when was it? about 1992? - anyway, I still love it.  Cheers and have a great Christmas.  The seatwarmers from Alderley

Just a note to thank you for the free tickets we won to the 39 Steps. We had a great night. The play was inventive, funny and loaded with energy. Full marks to the hard working cast! Regards Jim and Lynda White, Alderley
I got caught out at La Traviatta thinking the scene change in Act II was an interval. Woops! C.J., Brisbane

God of Carnage has had some different reviews. As the mother of an 11-year-old I found it fairly on the money. Judith, Forest Lake
Thanks for your website. Your reviews are refreshing and honest and a pleasant change from the same old tripe that gets trotted out by the regular publications. Gabrielle
I didn't like the vomiting in God of Carnage - was it really necessary? It made a lot of people in the audience feel uncomfortable. Maria, Camp Hill

I loved The 39 Steps at Twelfth Night Theatre. Funny. Witty. I'm going to see it again. Laila, Windsor
What's with QTC not having intervals any more? Gary, Paddington
I love the new downstairs bar at QPAC - way better than the shop that used to be there. Josh, Sunnybank
Gary, I agree. The last two shows I've been to at QTC they've held me captive without an interval. Hope this isn't a new trend. Leisa, Grange
