Romeo and Juliet like you’ve never seen it
Expressions Dance Company (EDC) will showcase a work based on themes from Shakespeare’s most famous love story at the Playhouse, QPAC from July 15 to 23.
Natalie Weir’s R&J, inspired by the classic story of Romeo and Juliet, presents three poignant love stories.
The first story, set in modern-day Brisbane, is brutal and contemporary; the second, set in domestic bliss in suburbia in the 50s, is touching in its realism; with the third and final story, set in ancient times, capturing the romance of young love escalating towards a tragic end.
